Manny

I have been the biggest non fan of Manny Ramirez since a few years ago. Don't get me wrong he is an unbelievable player but i feel like he can destroy a whole team and is similar to the Terrell Owens type player. When he tested positive for steroids i could not have been happier considering it shows that he was cheating all this time. Jason Bay isn't cheating and you can tell hes not the biggest guy in the world but he still contributes a lot to the team. As of now hes the most clutch in the majors and this trade completely worked out.

Boston Sports

To live in Massachusetts or around New England and love Boston sports has become a reward in recent years. Starting in 2001 when the New England Patriots upsetted the favored St. Louis Rams. They did work in the NFL for the next 4 years winning 3 of 4 super bowls. Then proceeding with an undefeated season to only lose in the Super Bowl. Not only did we have them in 2004 but we got spoiled when the Boston Red Sox came back on the favored New York Yankees. Coming back from down 3-0 in the series to make the world series and win. They won again in 2007 and lost in the American League Championship Series last year.
Then the Boston Celtics who had been flat out horendous entering last years season. They trade for Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen and make a championship run beating the hated Los Angeles Lakers. Now this year the Celtics have won 60 games again and are the number 2 seed in the Eastern Conference.
Last the Bruins have been struggling in the playoffs in past years. This year they came out and set a new best record for Eastern Conference and are entering the playoffs as a number 1 seed. Its phenomenal to see sports as good as they around here. They are a great source of entertainment for every night.

Networking Sites

I read one of our fellow classmates blogs about these networking sites and how ridiculous they are actually getting. My parents always used to warn me about putting pictures, addresses and phone numbers up because of the sketchy and creepy people around the world. Well I just found out my 10 year old cousin and his 7 year old sister have facebooks when they added me as friends. Explain to me why a 10 year old or a 7 year old have facebooks, how many friends could they possibly have with facebook. Then a random person from Kansas friended me. I have never been out of Massachusetts or met someone from Kansas explain to me why he randomly friended me and none of my friends, these things are getting out of control.

Red Sox

The major league baseball season has got underway and the Red Sox got off on the right foot. They had a tough game versus the reigning American League champions Tampa Bay Devil Rays. They beat them 5-3 behind their ace Josh Beckett. Beckett pitched a strong 7 inning game with 10 strikeouts.
Although Beckett showed a lot of good signs the best sign of the day was veteran leader Jason Varitek. Many people were dissapointed with the catcher's performance last year at the plate. People understand he is one of the best defensive players at his position but people were becoming weary that he was struggling at the plate. He came out on opening day and went deep in the 6th inning.
This is a good start to a promising season.

World Baseball Classic

In past years other countries athletics had no chance to compete with American athletes. In the most recent years other countries have been giving the United States troubles in many different sports. In the Olympics 5 years ago the mens basketball team lost in the semi finals of the Olympics. There was not supposed to be a team that would even come close to them and they did not even make the championship game.
Now the baseball team is getting beat over and over again by Japan and South Korea. These foreign teams are coming over here and playing to win and the United States seem to just be messing around. They are playing like a T-ball team where everyone gets to play and they should just try and win. The Japan and South Korea teams are good baseball teams but the Americans should not be losing these baseball games.

Kids vs. Us

Back in the day life used to be so easy. It was ridiculous back in the day I used to be easy to have fun. There were good cartoons and it was just real easy to have fun. I feel that the cartoons and kid show just are not as entertaining as they used to be. I used to have fun on Saturday mornings watching the basic cartoons. Now when i have to watch after my cousins it is no fun because the cartoons just are awful.

Global Warming

Living in the environment today seems to be one of the most intense situations over the past few generations. One of the most major events thats is affecting our generation is the fact that global warming is increasing sea levels and decreasing car sale productions. One of the most major situations throughout the world today is the fact that the world is going green and mostly everyone is trying to improve the environment to make it last longer. Today, people realize that the global warming aspect of the world is a problem and needs to be replaced. People need to see the fact that the world today is in trouble if they dont do something about it that the future generations are in trouble.

Obama

So i have been following the election since early last year when i had a class on politics. I believe that he can do alot of good for our country. He had been saying all of different things to our supporters and nobody has really had his back. I really believe he could be one of best presidents. He wants to help our economy and do the best for our country. I really believe he can help us out in the future.

Economy

So the economy has been aweful lately. It has been bad for everyone all of our generations above us have been losing their jobs because of this. It has been ridiculous because now that my parents are having a rough time now i feel bad for them. They have done everything for me and now i have to do my job to keep them happy. I have my jobs and now i have been feeling the problem of the economy.

Manny Ramirez

I believe that Manny is the biggest deush bag to play in Boston ever. He might be a great baseball player but he thinks he is too good for anyone. He agreed with his same team from last year after 4 months for almost the exact same deal he had at the beginning. The only difference being he got a guarentteed 2nd year. Im so glad that the Red Sox got rid of him when they did.

School Shootings

So these school shootings are just getting ridiculous. It all started at Columbine. It just keeps happening. It has followed up since then continuing to Viriginia Tech which is one of the biggest tragedies to this time. Then two days ago a whole school got shot up in Germany. 17 kid got killed and others injured. It is ridiculous how so many kids go into their schools and kill people. These people are not guilty of anything.

6 overtime game

So i was watching the big east game syracuse vs. Uconn. It was the best basketball game i have ever seen. I love the March Madness time of year. The game was close as can be until the wire. I was at my girlfriends house and made her watch it. At the end the game they through a whole court pass and Eric Dievendorf hit the buzzer beater but it did not count.
They went to overtime and i kept watching. It was unbelievable it kept going until the 6th overtime. Then Syracuse came and blew them away to a final of 127-117. It was by far the best college game or anygame i have seen.

Despite the Boston Celtics and Bruins successful current seasons, the Boston Red Sox dominated the Boston Globe Sports Page today. Their Spring training has taken over the top news stories to tell the Sox's progress towards opening day which does not even start until April. This is confusing because the Bruins and Celtics are both in the height of their seasons, both representing Boston fans to the fullest. Both teams have earned the top seeds of their league yet they are not the topic of the day.

7 pounds

I just saw 7 pounds the movie starring Will Smith. I thought it was a good movie but every one else that i saw it with thought it was a bad movie. It was a good movie if you actually payed attention but it took thought. All my friends expected it to be action-packed but it wasn't the usual Will Smith movie. I liked it because it had a good background and had good morales to the movie. It showed the love he had for his wife and what he would do for random people in the world not giving the movie away.

What happened to cartoons?

The cartoons when i was younger were unbelieveable. I would wake up extra early on saturday mornings just to watch cartoons. We had every good cartoon in the world. Including Recess, Doug, Rug Rats and Rocco's Modern Life. My little cousins are watching these awful cartoons every day. I watch them sometime with them and none of them entertain me. I wish we could go back to my childhood and repeat the good cartoons we have all seen.

In the past week America's pastime was destroyed even more by steroid use than ever before. Arguably the best player in baseball for the last decade has been Alex Rodriguez. Nobody had believed he was on steroids even after all the controversy over the past couple years. He went on 60 minutes last year and claimed he had never taken any human growth hormones or steroids. Then this past week people found out he tested positive 2003 for human growth hormones.
I was the first person to be on A-Rod side saying he was one of the best players and will most likely go down as one of the greatest players ever. I have lost a lot of respect for him as a player because i do not understand why all the famous athletes need an illegal substance to help them get better. What kind of role models are these athletes being? There are kids who look up to these people and now see them cheating, its not fair to the fans.
